A digital tool that allows friends and family to contribute financially to funeral costs or Ghana Memorial-related expenses.

Ghana Memorial is an everlasting digital obituary that allows families to honour, preserve, and share the life story of a loved one online in a respectful and culturally appropriate way. It is also includes other products such as the Online Condolence Book, Online Donation Link and the Funeral Programme (only in the paid version). Together they form the Ghana Memorial Suite. In a later stage, these products will also be offered separately, the online condolence book as an embedded page for companies that want to enable condolence for an employee that passed away. The online donation link could also be used separately by other parties, eg by churches to raise money. The Funeral Programme is now an alternative to any printed programme (the funeral page is enabled to be printed anyway) but we may want to extend that to a user can change that to a more sophisticated personal design.

From the Ghana Memorial or Memorial Profile dashboard, select “Create Donation Link” and complete the required setup steps.

Additional KYC information, including a valid Ghana identity card, is required.

KYC is required to meet regulatory and compliance standards for digital payments in Ghana.

PaySwitch reviews the details and confirms whether the donation link can be activated in accordance with Ghanaian compliance regulations.

The account holder receives a notification once the donation link is approved and ready for use.

Anyone with the Ghana Memorial link can make a contribution once the donation link is active.

Yes, standard transaction fees apply, but Ghana Memorial offers some of the lowest online donation costs, if not the lowest in and outside Ghana.
